How to Reach the Editorial Team

Got a correction, a question, a press request, or a privacy inquiry? You’re in the right place. This page sets out the right channel for each kind of message and what to expect from us in response.

Read this first if you have a license complaint or a hiring/screening question

If you want to file a complaint about a licensee, contact the issuing state board or federal regulator directly. If you need license information for an FCRA-regulated decision (employment, tenancy, credit, insurance), use a properly-credentialed Consumer Reporting Agency. verificationlicense.org/ is an editorial guide — not a complaint resolution body and not a CRA. See the routing table at the bottom of this page.

Pick the Right Subject Line

What to Include in Your Message

  • The page URL on verificationlicense.org/ you're referring to (if relevant)
  • The state and profession your question relates to
  • What you expected to find or what you think is wrong
  • If possible, the link from the official agency’s site that supports the correction
  • A contact email so we can reply (we don’t share your email — see our Privacy Policy)
Don’t send sensitive information

Please don’t include Social Security numbers, license-application materials, financial-account information, or other sensitive personal data in messages to us. We don’t need it and we can’t act on it. If you’re trying to navigate a specific licensure matter, the issuing board is the right office, not us.

How We Operate

verificationlicense.org/ is a digital-only publication. We don't have a physical office open to the public, do not accept walk-in visitors, and do not publish a postal address for general correspondence. Email is the way to reach us.

What We Won’t Engage With

  • Abusive, threatening, or harassing messages — these are not acted on and may be reported to authorities
  • Messages targeting specific licensees, applicants, or board members for harassment
  • Bulk SEO outreach, link-insertion requests, and “guest post” pitches that aren’t relevant to license verification
  • Requests to remove factual statements about a state board or federal regulator that are accurate and properly sourced
  • FCRA-purpose questions (employment, tenancy, credit, insurance) — those require a Consumer Reporting Agency, not us
  • Requests for us to “verify” a specific person’s license — we don’t perform individual lookups; the state board’s portal is the primary source
  • Generic marketing emails, sales pitches, and unsolicited proposals not specific to our work
