Single-state license

Authority is limited to the issuing state unless the nurse holds another license or legal privilege elsewhere.

Multistate license

An eligible RN or LPN/VN may practice in other compact jurisdictions under the home-state multistate license while compact eligibility continues.

Temporary travel assignment
